Hadef & Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Shonagh MacVicar as Senior Counsel in the firm's Commercial practice, further strengthening its capabilities in commercial contracting, procurement, governance and strategic advisory services.
Shonagh joins the firm with more than 24 years of post-qualification experience advising government entities, multinational organisations and private sector businesses on complex commercial, procurement and governance matters. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership positions in both the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, providing commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of industries.
Her practice spans commercial contracts, procurement, front-end construction, technology, intellectual property, strategic partnerships, manufacturing and distribution, sponsorship, licensing, governance frameworks and organisational transformation. She has extensive experience advising C-suite executives and boards on contract strategy, risk allocation, compliance frameworks and large-scale development projects.
Prior to joining Hadef & Partners, Shonagh held senior legal and contracts leadership roles, including serving as Director of Contracts for a leading UAE free zone. Her experience also includes acting as General Counsel for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and advising clients on major infrastructure, technology, sporting and commercial projects across the UK and the UAE.
