  • Natalie is a Senior Counsel in the Regulatory and Government Advisory Practice, with almost 20 years’ multijurisdictional experience in corporate and financial services regulation and compliance. She is highly regarded for her ability to successfully lead the development and implementation of a broad range of policy and legislative frameworks.  Natalie has held senior in-house legal regulatory roles with Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC). 

    Natalie holds degrees of Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Business (International Business) from Queensland University of Technology, a postgraduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia and a Masters of Law (LL.M) in Global Business Law from Columbia University, New York City.

    She holds an unrestricted practicing certificate in Australia, is admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and Queensland, and entered on the Register of the High Court of Australia.

  • Natalie delivers robust legal advisory services to the UAE Government, government-owned entities and private clients on a wide range of regulatory matters. 

    • Advised a government authority on drafting/amendment and operation of CRS and FATCA legislation 
    • Advised on drafting the revised Tax Procedures Law and its Executive Regulation
    • Advised a government authority on the legal basis and mechanisms to Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes
    • Advised on matters related to the negotiation of Multilateral Free Trade Agreements
    • Advised numerous private entities on Financial Crime matters, including Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing across the UAE and its Financial Free Zones 
    • Advised government and private entities on the operation and implications of local and international Sanctions regimes
    • Advised private and government entities on the operation of the Bribery and Corruption regime in the UAE 
    • Advised a local, foreign and public entities Public Private Partnerships and UAE Government Procurement 
    • Provided extensive advice on a broad range of legal, regulatory and compliance matters
