Mutasim is a Senior Legal Consultant in the Dispute Resolution department in Abu Dhabi. He has over 20 years’ experience in the UAE.

He has extensive experience in a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution matters involving construction, bankruptcy, insurance, corporate, Islamic banking, commercial agency, medical malpractice, real estate, lease disputes and employment disputes.

Prior to joining Hadef & Partners, Mutasim worked for the Bank of Khartoum (Sudan), and regional law firms in Dubai.

Mutasim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Khartoum, Sudan and is fluent in Arabic & English. 

He is also a member of the Sudanese Bar Association.

• Advised and defended leading Abu Dhabi based developers Baniyas Investment and development Company LLC, Al Saadiyat Investment and development Company LLC and Jubail Island Investment LLC on numerous real estate cases.
• Advised and defended Abu Dhabi Aviation PJSC in some employment matters pertaining to unusual employment contracts with its pilots.
• Successfully Advised and defended Mr. Sultan Bin Rashed Al Dhaheri the owner of Wahat Al Haili Mall and hotel in complex construction disputes filed against him by the main contractor and sub-contractors claiming for more than 250 million Dirhams.
• Successfully defended our clients Ajman Bank, Abu Dhabi bank & Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank on various banking disputes.
• Advising and defending our clients Al Mezin Contracting LLC and Civil Power Contracting LLC in complex construction disputes with Abu Dhabi General Services Company – Musanada.
• Advised and defended Archirodon Construction Overseas Company Limited in a dispute with Abu Dhabi Municipality relating to construction of Sheikh Zayed Bridge (The third crossing of Abu Dhabi Island).
• Successfully advised and defended leading Abu Dhabi investment and real estate company International Capital Trading in a complex dispute relating to investment in hotels. 
• Successfully advised and defended Siemens LLC in a complex engineering dispute over its role in building a caustic soda plant in Abu Dhabi.
