Khalid is a Partner in our litigation practice. Khalid joined Hadef & Partners in January 2013 and has a wide range of experience in criminal, civil and commercial disputes, particularly, corporate disputes, Islamic and conventional banking disputes, real estate and lease disputes, labor disputes, bankruptcy and enforcement of securities. Khalid also advises and represents clients in arbitration proceedings.
Prior to joining Hadef & Partners, Khalid worked as a notary public between the years of 1997 and 2001 in Libya. Khalid has been practicing as a lawyer for over 20 years - he worked as an advocate (with right of audience up to the Court of Appeal in Libya), specializing in representing insurance companies in the courts in Libya. He also worked for the Ministry of Housing in Libya.
Khalid is a member of the Libyan Committee for Human Rights and a member of the Libyan Bar Association.
Khalid obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 1995 from Qar Younis University (now Benghazi University), Libya and a Higher Diploma in Criminal Law from the same University in 2006 and holds a master’s degree in criminal procedure in 2022 from Benghazi University, Libya.
