Hamza Ahmad

Hamza is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team in Dubai. He advises regional and international clients on commercial litigation before the UAE courts, on arbitration and arbitration-related court proceedings, and on the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in the UAE.

His practice has a particular emphasis on cross-border enforcement and recovery, commercial agency and distribution disputes, shareholder and asset misappropriation claims, and multi-track strategies that combine civil, criminal and regulatory proceedings to achieve a commercial result.

As a US-qualified attorney who is also licensed by the Dubai Legal Department, and a native Arabic speaker, Hamza is well placed to support international clients navigating onshore UAE proceedings.

He began his career in litigation in Texas before relocating to the UAE.

Hamza holds an MSc in Sports Management and Legal Skills from ISDE Barcelona (2026).

Advised a UK entity on various available UAE expedited legal proceedings to recover outstanding amounts from a UAE entity and successfully implemented a strategy to obtain a AED 40,000,000 judgment in the UAE.
Acted for a European speciality chemicals manufacturer in the recognition and enforcement in the UAE of a foreign arbitral award seated in Paris, successfully obtaining recognition and proceeding to execution.
Acted for an international investment platform in a cross-border recovery campaign against a UAE-resident debtor: enforced the foreign judgment in the UAE and ran parallel bankruptcy and commercial proceedings to build pressure, producing a negotiated settlement.
Secured a judgment of AED 40 million for a UK entity through expedited proceedings before the UAE courts.

Advised on and managed criminal complaints under the UAE Penal Code involving breach of trust, fraud, defamation, embezzlement, cybercrimes, and the forgery of corporate documents.
