Ahmed is an Associate in our Dispute Resolution team in Abu Dhabi. He has 14 years of experience in handling various types of complex commercial and criminal disputes before the UAE Courts. 

He advises clients on disputes arising out of defaults under facility agreements, enforcement of pledges, tenancy agreements and payment plan contracts. He has extensive experience of handling matters involving disputes between shareholders, enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards before various UAE Courts. This includes disputes involving nullification of arbitral awards and matters requiring enforcement of execution orders in relation to bounced cheques. 

He also assists clients on various high value claims and matters involving bankruptcy and restructuring arrangements for UAE and international financial institutions. He has been representing clients on obtaining attachment orders and payment orders from the UAE Courts, in addition to handling multi-jurisdictional disputes for international and local clients involving fraud, breach of trust, asset tracing, asset recovery, and obtaining international arrest orders through the local Interpol office in Abu Dhabi.

Ahmed obtained his Bachelor of Law from Zagazig University and registered lawyer with the Egyptian bar association. He is fluent in Arabic and English.

• Advised a reputable international manufacturer of fire equipment in their enforcement procedures of an arbitral award before the Abu Dhabi Courts. The value of the claim was AED15 million and the Abu Dhabi Courts issued a recognition and enforcement order. 
• Advised a major UAE company in a construction dispute with a reputable European construction company in relation to a major project in Abu Dhabi valued more than US$120 million. 
• Advised a reputable UAE bank in procedures relating to enforcement of a pledge before the Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Courts against assets of the pledgee valued at more than AED17 million. 
• Advised an international company in a complex bankruptcy proceedings valued at more than AED2 billion before the Abu Dhabi Courts.
• Advised a reputable Canadian company on its agency dispute valued at over AED10 million with its local distributor.
