Ghalib is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution Department. He is a key and strategic member of the department. Ghalib represents clients in various areas of complex litigation, including mediation, international arbitration, the Courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and the local-onshore UAE Courts. He practices fluently in both Arabic and English.
Ghalib advises multinational companies and individuals on various areas of law and counsels clients in matters of complex corporate fraud, enforcement and asset tracing matters. He has also advised and represented multinational clients in healthcare related investigations initiated by government and non-governmental entities.
Prior to joining Hadef & Partners, Ghalib worked as an Associate at a civil litigation firm located in the New York metropolitan area where he represented a wide range of clients in international and domestic transactions and disputes. Ghalib has legal experience at both the United States Federal and State levels and has worked with the United States Department of Justice and United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Ghalib has received his Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University - The State University of New Jersey. He is admitted into the New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C. Bars and is also licensed to practice law in the Emirate of Dubai and the Dubai International Financial Centre. Ghalib is one of very few UAE based lawyers with full rights of audience before the DIFC Courts. He received a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Seton Hall University School of Law in New Jersey. Ghalib is also certified in Middle East Healthcare Compliance.
Ghalib is a member of the International Bar Associations and completed and has lectured as faculty member with Seton Hall University School of Law’s Middle East Healthcare Compliance Program and to MECOMED on issues of enforcement, sanctions and bribery laws in the UAE. He is also a designated Senior Research Fellow at Seton Hall University School of Law’s Center for Policy and Research.
